“To Know Christ Together . . .”

The very purpose for which were created is to know God.  There is no higher, more exalted, and more compelling goal than to know Jesus Christ.  Because God is Triune (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) we believe that He cannot be truly known except in community – thus we seek to know Him together.


“To Enjoy Christ Together . . .”

Knowing Christ is not to be an abstract intellectual endeavor.  The scripture presents our relationship to God in the picture of a son to his father, and as a wife to her husband, indicating both intimacy and mutual delight.  We need each other to demonstrate and reveal in greater measure this joy that can only be found in Christ.

 
“And Together, To Make Christ Known . . .”

Such intimate knowledge and Joy in Jesus Christ is not to be kept to ourselves. It takes a community of people to truly know and enjoy Christ, and it takes a community to reveal Him in his grace and peace to others.

To Glorify God

Through prayerful dependence upon the power of the Holy Spirit

for building a missional community of Grace

devoted to extending God’s Kingdom

by bringing the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ

to the North County Region and beyond!





PRAYERFUL DEPENDENCE upon the Holy Spirit:

Kingdom Centered Prayer– promote prayer as a means to praise and adore God, to know Him, to come into his presence and be changed by Him

Persistent Prayer – purpose to pray without ceasing, pray long, pray hard.  Prevailing prayer to have our hard hearts melted, to tear down barriers, to have the glory of God break through. 

Corporate Prayer – provide frequent and consistent settings and motivations for God’s people to gather together to seek Him and to request the Holy Spirit to accomplish the work of growth, healing and renewal in our church body, in our region, and in our world.

BUILDING a Missional Community of Grace:

Worship – Enable believers and unbelievers to experience God’s presence and grace  through Christ-centered worship and relevant proclamation of the historic gospel.

Nurture – Build up one another through transparent friendships, community      groups, pastoral care, and supportive/healing relationships. 

Discipleship – Train believers to be fully-devoted followers of Christ through Biblical  instruction, equipping for ministry, and opportunities to serve.

  EXTENDING God’s Kingdom  

Local Outreach – Initiate, foster and support strategic ministries that effectively reach area individuals and people groups with the gospel.

Church Planting – Develop a multiplying church movement that serves our region and beyond with grace-filled congregations that are vital in worship, community, ministry and outreach.

Global Missions – Train, send, and support adults, youth, and families in world cross-cultural outreach where need for the Gospel is greatest

BRINGING the Transforming Power of the Gospel 

Witness – Provide multiple opportunities to reach unbelievers with the Gospel and train believers to share their faith within their network of relationships.

Mercy –  Extend the hope and grace of Jesus Christ through assisting the needy, ministry to the broken, healing for the sick, and the rebuilding of  communities in crisis.

Culture – Penetrate society – business, the arts, media, politics, academia, and sports – with well informed and Gospel-transformed servant-leaders.
