Dan Katches was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dan is a graduate of San Jose State University (B.S. Industrial Technology) and Chesapeake Theological Seminary (Masters of Theological Studies). Dan and his Wife Bonnie moved to Paso Robles in 1995 to pursue pastoral training and education after serving for five years in the campus ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ at Chico State University.

Rev. Bill Hawk
Founding Pastor
Bill Hawk received his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Seminary. In 1978 he and his family moved to the North county as a church planter and helped start Covenant Church in Atascadero. In 1986 he founded Covenant Presbyterian in Paso Robles along with Great Beginnings preschool. In 1994 he began assisting with the Los Osos PCA church and then assisted with the planting of Trinity PCA in San Luis Obispo. Now he has returned to Covenant as founding pastor and is involved in small groups, counseling, visitation and leadership.

Jake Horn
Lead Youth Ministry Intern
Jake Horn is a native of California's central coast, and is a graduate of Atascadero High School. He loves snowboarding, mountain biking, and almost anything you can do outdoors.
Jake joined the Covenant staff in December 2006. His primary responsibility as the Lead Youth Ministry Intern is to lead Pilgrimage and Trek meetings while Covenant Church is searching for a full-time youth leader. He can be can be contacted at
Jonathan Hansen
Youth Ministry and Sound Intern
Jonathan Hansen is a native of California's central coast, and is a graduate of Paso Robles High School. He loves Volvos, graphic design, and big hair.
Jonathan joined the Covenant staff in December 2006. His primary responsibilities as the Youth Ministry and Sound Technology Intern are to assist with the tecnical aspects of Pilgrimage and Trek meetings and manage the Sound and Technology team on Sunday mornings while Covenant Church is searching for a full-time music leader. Linda Whitacre
Administrative Assistant
Linda Whitacre, grew up climbing palm trees and shooting bows & arrows in Papua New Guinea where her parents worked as Bible Translators. She now hails from Templeton, CA where she works as a Medical Assistant, and is currently studying to become a nurse. As a kid that has never really grown up, she continues to love to play outdoors, and enjoys hiking, camping and running, but what she loves most is spending time with other kids, namely the youth at CPC.
